CwinScraper operates with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do NOT collect, harvest, transmit, store, sell, or monetize any of your personal data, browser history, cookies, or personal identity.
1. Scope of the Application
CwinScraper operates exclusively as a client-side browser productivity extension. It enables content creators, digital marketers, and market researchers to inspect and export publicly accessible YouTube channel video statistics (titles, URLs, view counts, like counts, and comment counts) into standardized files (Excel, CSV, JSON).
2. What Data Is Processed and How It Is Used
- Public YouTube Video Metadata: When you activate CwinScraper on a YouTube channel page, the extension queries public video elements and watch pages solely from YouTube's public web responses. This data remains 100% on your local machine in your browser's private IndexedDB storage.
- User Preferences: Your display preferences (dark/light theme, selected language, scrape throttling speed) are saved locally using
chrome.storage.local. - Optional YouTube Data API v3 Key: If you optionally provide your own Google YouTube Data API Key in Settings, it is saved locally on your device and sent directly from your browser to Google's official endpoint (
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos). We never intercept, log, or store your API key. - Optional Pro License Verification: If you activate a Pro license, your license key and an anonymous installation identifier (
yt_inst_<uuid>) are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker licensing proxy solely to verify active subscription status with Creem.io. No browsing or channel data is ever transmitted.
3. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
All gathered data, session logs, and settings reside in your browser's local sandbox:
- You can clear individual scrape sessions or the entire history at any time inside the extension's History tab.
- Uninstalling the extension immediately and permanently wipes all locally stored data.
4. Permissions Usage & Justification

5. Third-Party Disclosures & Ads
CwinScraper does NOT display third-party advertisements, sell data to data brokers, or use external tracking services like Google Analytics.

CwinScraper does not collect any information from children under 13 years of age, adhering to COPPA and GDPR regulations.
